I am Moroccan and I really do not see how Morocco would be more diverse ethnically than Algeria we are basically a mixture of Arabs and Berbers. Actually we are just arabized Berbers but thats another story. So do you know how this map was created? thank youAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04121757275126095895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8446351548038522890.post-64862986275355732362013-05-17T11:57:49.513-04:002013-05-17T11:57:49.513-04:00The point about ethnic fractionalization being a U...The point about ethnic fractionalization being a U-shaped function (none or lots = no conflict, some = conflict) strikes me as potentially parallel to Waltz's argument about polarity. Waltz thought both unipolarity and multipolarity unstable, with the latter trending towards stability the fewer and fewer powers there are (culminating in two). Perhaps, in ethnic conflict, the direction runs the other way: homogeneity (unipolarity) and massive heterogeneity (lots of fractionalization) both produce little conflict, but a small number of potentially dominant players causes problems.R.
