Allies are always a problem as Churchill said (Only one thing worse etc) but it seems to me there is a much neglected ally in the Syrian Kurds. They are seasoned fighters who have been holding there own against ISIS (& the regime) for a year & could now use some air support especially around Kabani. Maybe that's a worthwhile place for Canada to start.
