Ethics for Celebrities

I am thinking of a new blog, just dedicated to Ethics for Celebrities, even though I have no expertise and do not teach a class on it, unlike Ethics for Adversaries.

Today's rule for Celebrities: If you are already rich, do not hang out with dictators.  I can almost understand why political scientists might do so: they are intensely curious folks.  Of course, then saying wonderful things about someone like Qaddafi is a bad idea.  But folks like Mariah Carey, Beyonce, and the others have no need for the extra cash, but yet associated with someone who had a bad record before 2011.  Returning the cash now is too late--you have already legitimated a tyrant.

Of course, the really big question is whether I can make money off of this sage, heretofore unspoken advice.
