Saying Goodbye to The Kid

Great last at-bat for Gary Carter:

Just so sad that he died so early.  The good news is, that unlike many of his teammates on the 1986 Mets, Carter did not waste his talents.  He played well as long as as he could, and he got to leave the field with a double and a run batted in.  Not a bad way to end a career.  Oh, and the hit was misplayed by one of the guys, Andre Dawson, who used to mock Carter for being so friendly to the media and to everyone else.

Oh, and was that the last time that the Expos had a full house?  Maybe not, but I would like to think so.
