Check out this picture. Everybody is seriously intense. And it shows how small the situation room appears to be. But the look on Obama's face--I would not mess with him. And the one star AF general is sitting but the four-star admiral (Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) is standing? That is what makes this picture look quite natural and not staged. Otherwise, the Chairman would be sitting next to and not behind Obama.
You may like or dislike Obama, but you cannot really argue that he does not take this stuff very seriously.
