Golden Oldies

Here is a link to a post I wrote when first started blogging nearly three years ago, presenting a theory of academic politics that was about fifteen years in the making.  Why am I thinking about it now?  Oh, just a couple of things that happened this week near and far that reminded me of this, along with some things I remembered as I was packing up my office.
