Check out this piece on Hungary's authoritarian slide. I really enjoyed Budapest in a series of research visits in the early 2000's. I am so disheartened by the events of the past year or so. Just a dismal reality setting in. Outside pressure may not work, and the likelihood of the domestic opposition getting its act together seems low.
Not a great way to begin a Sunday morning.
