Fiddling While Rome is Burning? Sure

I was not thrilled to read a particularly uninformed column in a Canadian newspaper this morning that argued that Canada's political scientists are silent about Canada's woes.  I mean, doesn't the guy read my stuff?  Well, maybe not, but here is my response.  I probably would have been more aggressive had I noticed the line towards the end about wads of time we academics have.  Maybe we would if we did not respond to time sucks like this.
