Here is my annual post on observing the US from Canada on Independence day. This one will be very different for me--I will actually be on US soil ... technically, as I am going to the US Ambassador's residence for his big party. And that is American soil-ish.
I will report tonight or tomorrow what that party is like. All I know is that I am supposed to wear "whites". Good thing I have a good white hat for the occasion.
