A sign of progress that Ultimate made it to the ESPN website? Sort of. The article focuses on explaining the sport rather than telling folks what happened at the National Championships. Still, this is progress. It is such a TV friendly sport--lots of action, easy to follow action (disk is way bigger and slower than a puck), lots of athleticism, human looking players, lots of highlights (diving and jumping on O and D0), and even the possibility for an occasional break for a TV ad. If they can show dodgeball on the Ocho, certainly Ultimate's time is near. Perhaps when football and basketball are locked out next year and ESPN needs stuff to show?
