Using Pop Culture to Teach IR

A couple of weeks ago, Stephanie Carvin and I taped a segment for CBC radio on the use of science fiction (and pop culture in general) to teach International Relations.  It is being broadcast today, but is already online.  It is an interesting 11 minutes or so.  Much got cut, such as my defense of simplifying (we are political scientists, not historians) and my use of Babylon 5 to contrast with the Star Trek episode I mentioned.

Anyhow, check it out.  Historians will be examining it some day as it will be seen as the origins of the legendary podcast: "IR Stuff with Steph and Steve."
