We all need deadlines to be motivated. That is the main purpose, really, of conferences and workshops--to give us deadlines so that we finish our work. Well, this logic is analyzed and applied to Afghanistan here.
Interesting but perhaps disturbing to know that we tenured folk are not alone in needing artificial deadlines to kick our butts into gear.
