Hey, Boo Boo!

Nice to see that either Warner Brothers has a sense of humor or a decent grasp on reality.  The company has decided not to fight the parody of the Yogi Bear movie.  The parody is stunningly good in its production values.

I really disliked the movie that inspired this parody, “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford,” which was painfully slow.  However, the film must be appreciated in retrospect if only for this parody.

I've had the Jesse James movies sitting on my DVR for a year without watching it (in part, because I was worried it would be too slow). I suppose I'll just delete it now.

Nice parody, though. Cannot believe the production values.

Just because I hated it does not mean you shouldn't watch it. I am not always right.

I found it slow as well but good in a similar way that 'There will be Blood' was. I'll never watch it again but it was oddly compelling.

Still, once you've seen the Yogi/Booboo version there's no need to see the Pitt version. It's slow, it's depressing and everyone dies.
