The New York Times regularly posts progress reports on Iraq and Afghanistan. This latest one includes Pakistan. While one can quibble with their various metrics, the figures are pretty striking. Iraq is much better than it was a year or two ago. Afghanistan seems to be holding steady, more or less, and Pakistan is, well, not looking good. Take a look and see if your conclusions are similar to mine, or not. And, yes, this is just a series of snapshots--there are larger and longer dynamics at work--the deep political games in each country.
I guess the most striking thing about this report is that Pakistan is included. After all, the US has not invaded/occupied Pakistan.
