Tom Ricks posted an incredibly passionate, incredibly articulate letter from a Marine who served four tours in Iraq on the myths of the all volunteer force, making a very strong argument for a drafted force.
Of course, a draft would have its own problems. I am not sure whether this guy is right, but I am far from certain that he is wrong. Putting the burden on the few is dysfunctional. Lots of stuff here to chew over and think about.
